Commercial service
Commercial panels and dedicated circuits in Houston
When your business adds equipment, the electrical system has to keep up. We upgrade panels, add dedicated circuits and wire new spaces.

What this service covers
This is the power side of a commercial space: replacing or upgrading panels and breakers, adding subpanels, running dedicated circuits for equipment, and wiring or rewiring tenant build-outs and remodels.
A dedicated circuit serves one piece of equipment only. Refrigeration, kitchen equipment, servers, compressors and machinery usually need their own circuit so they do not trip a breaker shared with the rest of the space.
Signs your space needs it
- Breakers trip when certain equipment starts.
- You are adding equipment, workstations or a new use to the space.
- The panel is full, hot, or decades old.
- Extension cords and power strips run equipment every day.
- You are moving into a space wired for a different kind of business.
- An inspector or insurer flagged the panel.
How the work goes
Site visit
We review the panels, the equipment list and the loads, and what the space needs next.
Written scope
You receive the scope and the price, with the shutdown time each step requires.
Permit
We file the electrical permit.
Installation
Work is scheduled around your operating hours when the job allows, with shutdowns agreed in advance.
Inspection and labeling
The work is inspected, and every circuit is labeled at the panel.
How long it takes
A dedicated circuit is typically installed in a few hours. A panel replacement usually takes a day with a planned shutdown. Build-outs are scheduled by phase with your contractor or property manager.
Permits and inspections
Yes, a permit is required for new circuits and panel work in commercial spaces. We handle the permit and the inspection.
What affects the price
Commercial work is priced by scope after a site visit. The main factors are:
- The size of the panel and whether the service is single-phase or three-phase.
- The number and size of the circuits.
- Distances, ceiling type and conduit runs.
- After-hours or weekend scheduling.
- Permit fees and any engineering the jurisdiction requires.
Frequently asked questions
What equipment needs a dedicated circuit?
Anything with a motor, a compressor or a heating element, and anything that cannot be allowed to lose power: refrigeration, cooking equipment, servers, copiers, compressors and machinery.
Will my business have to close during a panel upgrade?
The power has to be off for part of the work. We plan the shutdown with you, after hours or on a weekend when possible.
Can you add capacity without replacing the main panel?
Sometimes a subpanel is enough. A load calculation tells us whether the existing service can support it.
Do you do load calculations?
Yes. We calculate the load on your existing service before adding equipment, so you know whether it can carry it.
